33 Week Bumpdate

in Uncategorized on August 9, 2014

How Many Weeks Along? 33 weeks, measuring a week ahead at my doctor’s appointment on Monday. Also found out I’m dialated to 1cm already. Yikes!

Size of Baby: A honeydew melon

Gender: Sweet baby girl 🙂

Weight Gain: Up 3 pounds in the past 3 weeks, so up 17 pounds total. I can definitely tell that this little gal is growing and getting stronger!

Movement: Still so much! Starting to get uncomfortable with rib kicks and such, but I’m enjoying the little life that’s growing inside of me. She is sitting really low on my cervix and both me and my doctor continue to notice just how low her head is. I can feel her shoulders rub on my hip bones and I like to joke that she is doing the “shimmy” in there 🙂

Maternity Clothes: Lots of maternity tops. I have actually had a few outings the past few weeks that have allowed me to get all dressed up and wear some of my cute, dressy stuff from Zuzu’s and I forgot just how much I really LOVE wearing nice clothes, lol!

Symptoms: Fatigue, back pain, shortness of breath, mild swelling at the end of the day, nausea….you know….the general discomforts of the 3rd trimester. Feeling like the Lexapro has truly been helping me the past couple of weeks. Although uncomfortable, I am truly enjoying this pregnancy (and life in general) a whole lot more. Back pain has been the majority of my problems the past couple of weeks.

Sleep: Horrible with out Unisom. With my back, I just can’t seem to get comfortable. But when I get knocked out from my Unisom, I can pretty much sleep through the night, with a potty break of course, with no issues. It’s wonderful.

Cravings: My appetite has actually significantly decreased the past week or two. Just running out of room in there I suppose. But sushi has been on my mind lately. Lucky for me I’m headed out with the girls to Blu tonight for some of that rolled goodness!

Best Moment of the Week: Watching the roof on our house come together has been pretty amazing this week! This is also going to sound totally ridiculous, but I’m sharing it anyways because it truly brought me joy. Our shower out here in the guest house is quite small, thus shaving my legs in there has gotten significantly more difficult as the weeks have gone by. The other day I was getting ready to hop into the shower and just stood there looking at the small stall, knowing how awful it would be to try and shave and I just sobbed. So I waddled into my in-laws and asked if I could use their (much) larger shower and tub so as not to have a complete meltdown over my hairy legs. Sheila gladly let me shower in their house and it was quite possibly the most wonderful shower/shave I’ve ever had. I could stretch my legs out as far as I wanted in there. It was glorious!

Looking Forward To: Going out to dinner with my Mommy Group friends to Blu for sushi tonight. Eric is also teaching our adult Sunday School class for the first time on Sunday. I’m really excited to hear him lead, and so proud of him as this is a big step for him! The county fair is this weekend, too, and I’m dying for a corndog and sno-cone!
