We had a day of 60 degrees this past week. It was absolutely glorious after weeks of pounding snow and winds, so we jumped at the opportunity to get outside. And I mean all day long.
We started off the morning right by riding Nora’s bike around the farm. Lucy followed us everywhere we pedaled and Nora squealed the entire time.
We then enjoyed countless hours going back and forth between the swing and trampoline. Nora tries so hard to “bounce” when she gets up on the tramp, but she really just looks like she is doing some sort of awkward Miley Cyrus twerking dance. Except it’s cute.
We then discovered possibly the greatest game of all time: pick up sticks. We literally picked up all the sticks and twigs in the yard until it was spotless. We started a little pile and watched it grow over the course of the afternoon. It was so cute to watch Nora’s accomplished face.
You know that spring is coming at the farm when Daddy and Grandpa get out the planter for maintenance. Eric and Kim have been working hard getting it ready this week and Nora has enjoyed watching them from her bike.
Later that night, we went out to Kati and Dolen’s house to see the new baby goats ( aka “kids.” Who knew?). I’m not sure Nora has ever had more fun than she did chasing chickens and goats, sitting on Jack the horse or getting licked by all their dogs. It was so fun watching her play, and just as much fun hanging out with our friends who we love so much. I won’t lie, we didn’t truly feel “at home” here until we saw them. Now all is rift with the world 🙂
We ended the night by getting a “Bille Cosby horse ride” on Daddy’s knee and lots of kisses from Auntie Kati. It was such a great day! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Nora smile as much as she did thT day, and that’s something I’ll never forget 🙂

So cute! She is getting so big!!
She's really 'HOME' on the farm. There is really is something so wholesome and good growing up on the farm. Enjoyed the photos of her free as a bird enjoying the simple pleasures of life. So glad you guys are settling in and loving life on the farm.
Thanks Auntie Kathy! She really had adjusted quite well, making the adjustment that much easier for Eric and I. She is so happy!
