My girl. My sweet, chubby, beautiful girl. You are ONE.

And I’m just so smitten with you.

From those first 4 months of non-stop screaming until today, you have just been the sweetest little addition to our family. I have fallen in love with you day after day and it’s no secret that I continue to swoon over every inch of your luscious rolls and chub. I shudder when I think about the day that they completely melt away.

 

 

So 12 months. Here we go….

Andersyn Joy

12 months aka ONE year

Weight: 23 pounds

Length: 29.5 inches long

Clothes: Size 18-24 month clothes, Size 5 diaper, Size 4 shoe

Teeth: 6, working on two more on top at the moment

Things you like this month: Girl, you love your sister. You love playing with her, eating with her, pulling her hair, mimicking her every move and sitting in her lap. You two are pretty inseparable and it has been beautiful watching your friendship grow. You love putting things in boxes or holes, shoving things in your mouth and running away when you are in trouble 🙂 You LOVE books, even more than your sister did at this age, and you always have to turn around and back up to sit down into our laps while we read to you. Your favorites are Brown Bear, Brown Bear,  Moo, Ba, La La La, Mirror Me, and Peek a Who. I hope your love for reading continues. Your favorite spots to hide in our house is in the teepee in Nora’s room or in the unfinished shower in our master bathroom (of all places!). You are starting to enjoy sitting at the kiddie table we have in the kitchen for snacks and play time and enjoy the new kiddie chair your Hammie bought you for your birthday. You love to play outside on our deck or swing on the new swing set in the back yard. It’s so fun watching you find your favorite toys and enjoy playing with them. Every night you sleep with your little brown rabbit, Bunny, and of course your pacifier.

Things you don’t like this month: Well you don’t like to sleep through the night as much any more 🙁 We are all sad about that. I’m hoping that once these teeth pop through that we will see some of your better sleep habits return. You aren’t a huge fan of shoes and socks, but you are becoming more cooperative of wearing them. You aren’t too keen about waiting for a bottle (or any food in general) and are starting to throw little tantrums when you can’t get your way. We will learn together, little one 🙂 Overall, you are a really happy baby (ahem, toddler!)

Schedule: You usually wake up around 7-730 and eat breakfast of bread and fruit then follow that with a bottle of half formula half whole milk. We play for most of the morning and normally by 10 you are ready for a nap, which is usually about an hour or so. When you wake up we play a bit then eat lunch at 12, followed by another bottle. We repeat your schedule, but take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon around 2:30 or 3, then you eat dinner and have another bottle whenever Daddy comes in for the night, usually around 6. You also get snacks of crackers and milk in between meals and a small snack right before bed. Bedtime is almost always at 8-8:30, preceded by a bath with your sister, which you both love.

This little girl…this sweet little girl lives up to her name so well. The JOY she brings to our family is overwhelming. She fits into our family so perfectly and it’s so hard to imagine a life with out her in it. What a year it has been, full of so many changes and crazy schedules…but this girl has just been go with the flow. I’m so thankful for her. And I’m beyond excited what this next year is going to bring for her life. We love you Andi Joy.
