It may only be November, but it’s shaping up to be a holly, jolly Christmas around here! This will be our second Christmas at the farmhouse, but I can already tell how much more it feels like home this holiday season. And I love it.
My employees and I (ahem, my toddlers) have been busy hanging garland, trimming the tree, and hanging stockings the past couple of weeks and I’m so excited to share our little Farmhouse Christmas with you all. To me, nothing says “Christmas” quite like the lights turned down low, the girls cuddled under the blankets on the couch, and the Christmas tree glowing in the corner of the room. And guys, I wish you could come and take a deep breath in here; it smells like fir trees.
I can’t even.
So kick off your boots at the door and come inside.
“Here we come a caroling among the leaves so green…”
Yes, even the chickens are getting in the holiday spirit.
There’s nothing quite like your own family Christmas tree. One of the things that I love the most about ours is that it’s full of random memories. Intricate handmade ornaments by our girls, commemorative glass ornaments reminding us of special memories, and of course candy canes. I love our mismatched tree and wouldn’t have it any other way.
And then the lights get turned down low… now all we need is for it to SNOW!
And the reason we celebrate this glorious time of the year, the little baby Jesus. Thank you God for sending your Son.
I hope you’ve enjoyed a step into our Nebraska farmhouse this Christmas season. May your holidays be filled with love and joy like only He can bring you, friends.
